erman mezzo-soprano Franziska Gündert studied with Prof. Sato-Schöllhorn at the Conservatory of Music in Freiburg and graduated in concert and opera singing. She then went on to Stephen Yalouris’s Opera Class at the Conservatory of Music in Sydney and gave various successful concerts in Australia.


She appeared as Nireno in Händel’s “Giulio Cesare” at the Freiburg Theatre and performed in the music theatre production „Oresteia“ at Basel Theatre directed by C. Bieito.


Besides the operas, Franziska Gündert is engaged in many concert productions, which have brought her to stages in Belgium, Southern France, Asia, Switzerland and Italy.


She sang in Mendelssohn’s «Elias» in Rome, Vivaldi’s «Gloria» and Bach’s «Magnificat» in Padova and Venice, and she performed as the Alto soloist in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at the Concert Hall in Freiburg in December 2017.


An active member in vocal ensembles, Franziska Gündert joined ChorWerk Ruhr (dir. Florian Helgath) in 2016 and the Zürcher Sing-Akademie one year later.


Solo and ensemble CD-productions are an intrinsic part of her professional life.
