ranziska Brandenberger started her singing studies at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Prof. Lena Hauser. Already during that period she collected stage experience as a member of the “Pocket Opera Company”, with which she performed various operettas by Gilbert&Sullivan as well as Offenbach. Subsequently she completed her studies in the Netherlands at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Prof. Valerie Guillorit, where she graduated with a teaching diploma. Her tuition was completed by drama lessons with stage director Floris Visser and master classes with a.o. Udo Reinemann, John Norris and Margreet Honig.


The repertoire of Franziska Brandenberger includes oratorios by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn and Dvorak as well as several opera parts. The work with choirs and ensembles takes a significant part of her singing activities; projects with with conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, René Jacobs, Bernard Haitink and Sir András Schiff count to her most important experiences in that field.


Franziska Brandenberger is a freelance member of the Kammerchor Stuttgart, MDR Rundfunkchor and the Nederlands Kamerkoor. Since 2015 she forms part of the core group of the Zürcher Sing-Akademie.
