lla Westvik grew up in Trondheim, Norway. Her musical career started early; at the age of eleven, she made her stage debut as Amahl in Menotti’s opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors” with Trondheim symphony orchestra and the Norwegian state opera. In 2002, she won the first prize in the Norwegian young musicians competition. 


After finishing her BA in music at the Norwegian academy of music, she obtained the MA at the Zürcher University of of Applied Arts in 2010, working with Prof. Scot Weir, Prof. Jill Feldman and Prof. Hartmut Höll. 


Her repertoire stretches from early baroque to contemporary music. In the past years, she has sung numerous concerts as a soloist or in professional vocal ensembles and done several main roles in different opera productions in Switzerland, Norway and in Germany. 


In July 2012, she won the Dienemann music competition in Lucerne.
