enor Sebastian Lipp graduated from Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, the city where he grew up, and worked as a choir soloist at the "Komische Oper Berlin" from 1994 till 1999. He subsequently pursued a career as a concert soloist, covering a major part of the oratorios from the 17th through the 20th centuries, with a special focus on the role of the Evangelists in works by Bach, Schütz and Keiser, plus the majority of J. S. Bach’s Cantatas.
In 2011 he took on the part of «First Witch/ Sailor" in Sasha Waltz’s staging of “Dido & Aeneas”, performing at the Sydney Festival, the Bavarian State Opera and the Berlin State Opera, with further performance series at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires und the Teatro dell’ Opera in Rome in 2016.
In 2012 he performed the role of the Father in in the première of Barry Kosky’s production of “Die sieben Todsünden” (“The Seven Deadly Sins” by Kurt Weill) at Komische Oper Berlin.
The Tenor has performed in Philharmonie Berlin and Luxemburg, Konzerthaus Berlin as well as in various concerts at the Lucerne KKL. In addition, he was engaged by the Kurz-Weill-Fest in Dessau, Beethovenfest Bonn, Lucerne Festival and Musikfest Berlin.
